About the EGP

The next evolution of grip improvement for the GLOCK pistol:

the Grip Force EGP (ENHANCED GRIP PANEL).

For a complete Design Explanation of the EGP, scroll toward the

bottom of this page.

The finish of the EGP matches the finish of the OEM GLOCK receiver. For demonstration purposes, the finish of the EGP is highlighted in these images.

GRIP FORCE EGP ON GEN 5 GLOCK 17

The Grip Force EGP:

• Alters the grip shape and angle, improving fit and connection to the pistol

• Improves shooter’s ability to obtain a proper grip, from the holster, at speed

• Improves hand position for better shootability and recoil control

• Promotes quicker sight alignment, and sight tracking during recoil

These EGP features are not found together in any other GLOCK grip upgrades.

This first version of the Grip Force EGP is designated the Grip Force EGP 4/5M.

It will ONLY fit GLOCK GEN 4 and GEN 5 Standard-size pistols: GEN 4: G17, G34, G22, and G35.

GEN 5: G17, G34, G45, G19X, and G47.

This EGP will NOT fit any Compact-sized pistols (G19, G23, etc.).

The EGP 4/5M is a full-length, medium-sized textured polymer grip panel in black. It fits any holster/hood combination that accepts the OEM GLOCK factory beavertail grip panels. The EGP is easy to install and remove and requires no permanent modification to the pistol.

The EGP 4/5M size most closely matches the GEN 4 or GEN 5 OEM Medium grip panel. Additionally, many shooters who use their GEN 4 or GEN 5 Standard-sized pistol in its SF Frame configuration, with no factory grip panel installed, can also improve their connection to the pistol and may be able to use the EGP 4/5M without sizing difficulty. Even some shooters who utilize the OEM GEN 4 or GEN 5 Large grip panel have found this same compatibility and advantages with the EGP.

Our package includes one Grip Force EGP grip panel and one lanyard-hole retention set (hex-drive screw and retention base). Installation also requires the longer OEM trigger mechanism housing (TMH) pin — the same pin GLOCK supplies with their factory GEN 4 and GEN 5 Medium and Large panels.

This OEM TMH pin is NOT included in the Grip Force package.

*The CUSTOMER must supply this OEM TMH pin for installation of the EGP.

If needed, source GLOCK “Part # 7416 Trigger Housing Pin MBS - fits GEN 4, GEN 5, G19X, G45 with MBS (long pin)” direct from GLOCK Inc., or one of their parts distributors.

To install the EGP, you use the hex-drive screw through the lanyard hole in the EGP and Receiver and you use the retention base in the large debris channel in the backstrap of the receiver. You also install the longer OEM (TMH) pin in the same manner as the factory grip panels.

GEN 5 GLOCK 17 SF FRAME OVERLAY OF GRIP FORCE EGP (NOTE: THE SHAPE DIFFERENCES OF THE EGP vs GLOCK SF FRAME)

EGP Design Explanation:

Design Elements:

The EGP design draws from popular USPSA/IPSC high-end competition pistols and select duty-grade pistols. The EGP blends grip configurations from custom 2011 pistols, premium European competition pistols, and customized duty pistols. It combines key elements to improve ergonomics, indexing, and weapon control.

Like previous generations of Grip Force Adapaters, the EGP offers another improved grip option for GLOCK shooters.

Grip Shape & Support Ledge:

The EGP 4/5M slightly changes the GLOCK’s grip angle and enhances the grip shape, improving hand fit and connection to the pistol for better shootability and recoil control.

Above the EGP 4/5M’s flat backstrap is a contoured grip section that acts as a Support Ledge, which flows into the grip tang. It braces the webbing and upper part of the shooter’s palm between the thumb and trigger finger, improving control, mitigating felt recoil, and reducing muzzle flip.

Draw Stroke:

When drawing from a holster, the shooter's palm can index the pistol along the EGP's flat backstrap. As the shooter drives their hand into the grip, the flat backstrap guides it upward, placing the webbing of the hand above the contoured ridged section, into the grip tang area, and against the underside of the beavertail for a more secure grip.

High Grip & Leverage

The EGP also guides the trigger finger and thumb high along the sides of the grip tang, optimizing their placement. With the firing hand in this position, and the webbing of the hand secured tightly under the beavertail, shooters can achieve proper trigger reach and a better hand position on the pistol, creating leverage and a more stable shooting platform.

Two-Handed Firing Grip:

The EGP grip also enables the support hand, working with the firing hand, to grip the pistol properly, allowing the shooter to achieve an optimal two-handed firing grip.

These EGP design elements help guide the shooter’s hands to quickly and consistently achieve a proper firing grip, resulting in faster sight alignment, reduced recovery time between shots, and improved overall shooting performance.

Improve your grip and customize your pistol’s fit.
